The system allows the automatic connection of a maximum two separate audio lines coming from external sources (not from the broadcast system). The sources may be satellite receivers. The physical connection is done with the Line IN connector of the broadcast sound card (for the first satellite channel) and with an adapter for the CD-Line for the second satellite channel. (drawing) The satellite lines actual scheduling is done like the commercials, being from the same events scheme. In the following well show how you automatically connect the satellite lines, considering that the hardware connections are done properly. |
Steps for a satellite connection type scheduling: |
1. |
Select the console for which the scheduling is done with the Station ID (if is selected skip this step). |
2. |
Select the date for which we create the events scheme with Date option (if is selected skip this step). |
3. |
Select the time for the connection and the audio line used for it (for the first satellite channel, check the LineIn check box from the Mode list, for the second use CD-Audio). |
3.1. |
for the satellite receiver audio line connection use <satellite channel identifier> IN. |
3.2. |
for the satellite receiver audio line disconnection use <satellite channel identifier> OUT. |
4. |
Activate the Add Event option to create the event. |
4.1. |
add a recording in the previously created event with Add Record (the audio recording(s) inserted in Satellite Line IN will be broadcasted before the time specified in HOUR, will enter in Force IN mode and will end before the satellite line will be activated). |
4.2. |
the audio recording(s) inserted in <satellite Line> OUT will be broadcasted at the exact time specified in HOUR in Force IN mode the first after the satellite line is disconnected. |
4.3. |
if we wish to add recordings -> 4.1. |
Observations: |
Iit is very important to have a clear flow <satellite channel identifier> IN - <satellite channel identifier> OUT, and that each event contains at least one recording. In the case of a flow that is not IN -> OUT, or in the case of events not containing any recording the software will display an error message and you will not be able to save the scheme. |
Possible errors: |
• |
satellite event -> non satellite event sequence. |
• |
satellite event OUT without a previously satellite event IN, the natural sequence is IN -> OUT. |
• |
lack of audio recordings in one event. |
At all of those errors, the message will be: 'The Program Schedule for <schema saving date> have inconsistent data! |
