To schedule an event (commercial break) a few steps must be followed, that will uniquely define the event and its content. Lets start with the event modules interface: Station ID > specifies the console for which the event scheduling is done (in the case of more than one console, more than one active radio lines, there can be events scheduled for each one). |
Date > specifies the date for which the scheduling is done. The scheduling is possible for an unlimited number of days ahead and the passed schedules are saved for a limited number of days, specified in the System Settings module by the Event Scheduler Memo. Record/Event Properties > allows to select the hour and the processing mode for the newer event. Hour > specifies the time the event will be broadcasted |
Mode: |
• |
After > the event (commercial brake) will be broadcasted after the current recording that is broadcasted at the HOUR time is finished. |
• |
Force IN > the event (commercial brake) will be broadcasted at the exact time specified in 'HOUR'. |
• |
Satellite Line IN > sets the broadcast time for the LineIN audio input. |
• |
Satellite Line Out > sets the time the broadcast of the LineIN audio input is stopped. |
Add Event > adds an event to the selected day scheme, at the HOUR time and its handling in the way specified in the MODE field. |
Note: |
An event must contain at least one audio recording or the event is not saved in the database. If an event doesnt contain anything, the software will display an error message. |
Add Record > adds to each event a recording, the one selected. To be able to activate add record, you must have selected the event where the recording will be added. The adding is done at the end. Insert Record > has a function that is almost like the Add Record one, but for the insertion, a recording from an event must be selected and the new recording is added before the selected recording. Delete > deletes the selected event or recording. The deletion mode depends on the entity selected. If an event is selected than it will be erased along with its recordings. Save Programs Scheduled > saves the current scheme in the Studio Database Professional (the Eventlist43.db table). Clear Current Scheduled > deletes from the database all the scheduling for the current date, on the selected DJConsole. |

The Details Interface allows the commercial break visualization, and for the satellite control module (Network Controller) specifies which commercials are for the entire radio network and which are local. Checking the NET check box for the ones that are for the entire radio network does this. In this case the via-satellite communication module will send to the local stations the actual local broadcast time for the commercial, this mechanism resolving the local - central stations synchronization problem. |
