The Jingles palette is a very useful tool for the interactive work mode with the broadcast console, but also for the NCP Manager module - Station Server component.

The Jingles palette or Music Box allows the creation of predefined jingles, base, acapella, effect, generic, promo and news stocks. In a stock there can exist recordings from all the above categories. The purpose of the stocks is to make more accessible some audio recordings when working in the interactive mode in the DJConsole > jingles palette. The recordings can be grouped by the name of the DJ or by the name of the show.

Create Music Box > allows the definition of a new palette.

Box Name > the identification name for the palette.

Description > a short description (ex: the name of the show).

After one palette is created the recordings loading follows. From the Music Box Selector list box you select the palette and on the left side the palette recordings are displayed. If you wish to load a new recording to the palette, select the desired category, select the recording and press the ADD New Record button. The removing of one recording is done pressing the Delete Music Box Item.

Note:

One palette can be erased only if it doesn’t contain any recording!!

If a palette doesn’t contain any recording it must be deleted.

If there is a pre-listening sound card, the audio recordings can be listened by a simple click not only in the category list box, but also in Music Box.

A special palette is NetSynch, used to contain the recordings used by the satellite synchronizing system. In this palette are added the recordings (hitmix, jingles, Acapella, promo) that can be used to fill the local commercials until the length is equal to the length of the central station’s commercial brake. The recordings must be of various lengths, so that the system will be able to choose the one most likely to perfectly synchronize the stations.

Note:

If the Professional Studio XP-I package has installed the Station Server module, the NetSynch palette is required and must contain at least one recording. The removal of the NetSynch palette or the removal of all the recordings contained by it can cause serious errors in the system’s function.
