This module is dedicated to the installed DJConsole parameter settings, in the local area network. From the sound cards configuration and the audio signal processing parameters to the mixing times in various situations, everything is set here…

Note:

We recommend that you do the sound cards configuration on the computers that have installed the DJConsole and not through the local area network. The software reports correctly the information about the sound cards only if the sound card is present on the computer that you work on.

Select AudioServer > the combo box specifies the active DJConsole.

AUS Out > The broadcast sound card. On the selected card the DJConsole selected in the Select AudioServer combo box will control the OUT audio signal

Buffer > specifies the soft buffer size for the component that communicates with the sound card. The bigger the buffer size is the stability of the sound channel is, this way avoiding the unwanted interruption when the system is very solicited (big files transferred etc.). However, this slows down the reaction time (at the DJConsole commands).

No. Buffers > specifies the active buffer number for the selected sound card.

Note:

The values choosing is done in accord with the system’s performance on which the DJConsole is run. Recommended values: Buffer=4096, No. Buffers=20.

Wave VOL > sets the audio signal OUT level on the sound card’s wave channel.

Master VOL > sets the sound card’s OUT signal level (the equivalent of Master volume from the Windows Volume Control application).

Mixer Buffer Properties > Sets the size and the number of buffers used by the virtual audio channels mixing component used by the DJConsole. There are three virtual audio channels initialized by the DJConsole. [Recommended: buffer=4096, no. buffers=15].

Satellite Line I > external channel I identifyer.

Satellite Line II > external channel II identifyer.

Song Mix Time > simultaneous playing time a mixing time for two recordings of the “song” type. The new song enters at normal volume and the old song fades out for a period of time set here [recommended: 1500ms].

Force IN Mix > force IN events mixing [recommended: 250 ms].

Satellite Mix > automatic external channel switching mixing time [recommended: 250 ms].

Spot Mix time > commercials, promo, acapella, jingles etc. mixing (not song type) [recommended: 250 ms].

Turbo Fade > the audio level (in percents compared with the normal one) at which point the current recording will be played at the effects, acapella, OVER MIX or Turbo MIX overplay.

Turbo Time > the time for the audio level setting for the case above.

Note:

After the parameters specified in the Audio Server Settings interface are saved, the application must be restarted, so that the new settings are loaded.
