The interface allows the MAINSERVER properties setting, the network resources mapping modalities and the setting of the DJConsole properties that will be active in the local area network.

MAINSERVER SETTINGS

The interface implements the MAINSERVER computer definition mechanisms, the number of logical partitions used by the system, the backup setting zone and the saving time for the ON AIR reports.

Computer Name > Defines the name of the computer that will be considered the MAINSERVER by the system. This will be asked to make the connection for the LAN communication and the one who provides the audio files and other data for the STATION system modules.

IP Address > Specifies the IP address of the MAINSERVER computer. This address is searched for the internal LAN communication system.

No Hdd > Specifies the number of logical partitions used by the system. The partition identifiers, the way the network resources connect are specified in the HDD MAP section.

HDD Master Free > Specifies the free space on the C partition of the MAINSERVER at the time of audio recording editing. The system takes the MP3 files from the c:\Studio II\Buffer path and copies the files on the MAINSERVER partitions starting with the C one, until the free space is under the limit specified in HDD Master Free. Then the next partition is loaded and if there is no next partition specified the system shows the message: 'No enough disk space for others records'.

HDD Slaves Free > sets the free space limit for the logical partitions D, E, F… of the MAINSERVER.

NT Platform > Determines the network resources accessing mode. If the operation system of the MAINSERVER is Windows 2000, NT or based on NT technology the checkbox can be checked.

Back-Up Zone > sets the MAINSERVER directory where the backup will be done.

Program Report Memo> determines for how long (days) the ON AIR reports are kept for each active DJConsole.

Event Scheduler Memo> de determines for how long (days) the commercials spots scheduling logs or the general events are saved.

HDD MAP

For the work in the local area network it is necessary for the network resources (STATION resources) to be mapped.

The HDD Map interface allows the specification for each HDD identifier the way the LAN will see the resource and the local corresponding logical partition.

This mechanism is very important when a new hard disk is inserted and the logical partitions names are changed. It is possible that after the new HDD is inserted that the d:\ partition will not have the same information and a new mapping is welcomed and… required!!

Note:

It is compulsory to re-map the resources after the insertion of a new HDD! The mapping parameters change is done by double clicking the list box from the left side of the interface, on the required logical partition.

HddID > specifies the database logical partition identifier.

Local Disk > specifies the local logical partition assigned to the HDD ID.

Network disk > specifies the logical drive under which name the MAINSERVER HDD ID resource will be mapped.

Note:

After a mapping change, all the Professional Studio XP-I applications that work in the local area network must be restarted.

AUS MAP Settings

The possibility to create more than one DJConsole in the same local area network implies their administration necessity.

The DJConsole has an AUSID identifier, a name Console ID and a computer on which is installed.

The correct state of all the parameters is highly important for any loading of programmed events on one DJConsole, and the settings that are different from one console to another.

New DJConsole > allows the creation of a new DJConsole. It is specified the Console ID and the computer on which it will run.

Modify Console > modifies the settings of the console in an interface like the one below.

Delete Console > deletes an existing console (the selected one) and all the existing settings in the database.

The parameter’s modifying interface and the initialization one is one and the same.

Note:

After the settings are saved, the application that runs on the computer specified in the “computer” field, must be restarted.
