The Import/Export Data interface facilities were created to allow the fast data transfer between two Professional Studio XP-I databases.

So, the data 'donor' will make Export and the receiver will choose data Import.

The data is exported in containers that have both the audio files and the attached information. In this way the database can grow rapidly by using the information edited in other radio stations.

The facility is accessible for all the Edit Record module categories.

The data Import / Export

To make a data export, choose Export Data from the commands interface.

Select the files to export, after that the container in which the information will be saved is created. In the end select the export option, this will trigger the actual data export.

If you work on a computer running DJConsole, it is recommended to close the DJConsole module for the IMPORT/EXPORT operation.

For the data import, select the desired container and after that start the data IMPORT action.

Note:

Import/Export Data was specially designed for radio networks that use the same resources. The one place editing of the musical archive, jingles, acapella, effects etc, and the exporting to all the local stations saves a lot of time and resources in the one system implementation.

The next step forecasted by the QSound SOFT team is the import/export of playlist type files, which will assure the musical line uniqueness for the radio networks with a large geographical coverage and with independent local programs.
